Make It Monday - Puppy Mail

It's Make It Monday!! Hope your weekend went well & the team you were rooting for in The Big Game. I just watch it for the commercials. Lol. My favorite this year was the Rocket Mortgage commercials. 😆 Ok, the M&M, Flat Matt, & Ashton Kutcher commercials were close behind!

This week I played with Puppy Mail from Gerda Steiner. It's a newer release from August of the year we won't mention. 😉😆 I used My Dog from Echo Park for the paper on this one. I'm not really a dog fan but I thought this card turned out super cute! I love the paper!

These little pups can't help but pull at your heartstrings! And, the paper is so much fun! The card is such a simple design but looks so more than it really is due to being able to use the double-sided cardstock! I cut the 4 rectangles to 2 5/8x2 & folded up the inside corner of each piece to create the "opening" for the howling pup. The diamond in the center is cut to 2.25x2.25. After stamping & coloring the pup, I added the dash lines for some detail. I used the Neenah 110 for the white but the Sweet Sentiment would be great, too! On the inside I stamped, "It's a good day for happy mail". This is a really simple yet fun card for any dog lover!

Kraftin' Kimmie New Product Launch!!

I am blessed to be apart of Kraftin' Kimmie's new product launch--Krafty Kolours!! I have to say, this is some pretty AWESOME ink! I love that not only is it permanent but it's also perfectly "juicy"! Because of the "juiciness", you get a wonderful fully inked image every time! And, even though it's permanent ink, it's still able to be used to get a watercolor effect!

I hope you enjoy these cards!

To use Krafty Kolours as watercolors, I recommend stamping the ink pad several times on something plastic like an acrylic block. Then, use a paintbrush or watercolor brush to pick up the color & apply it to your project.

On the top card, I used the new stamp set Magical Friends & colored it with my PrismaColor pencils. This is my first time ever creating my own background. I'm pretty pleased with how it came out! On the bottom card, I used the new stamp set Beautiful Blooms. I stamped with Stampin' Up Craft Ink in Elegant Eggplant & embossed with clear Ultra Thick Embossing powder. I then used my watercolor brush pen to pick up the Krafty Kolours ink from my acrylic block to apply it over my embossed image on the card.

With these inks you can ink directly, sponge, stencil, watercolour, you can do all sorts of techniques with them AND most exciting….the Krafty Kolours Inks are safe to use with pencils AND alcohol based markers!!

I went in a little different direction than is typical for birthday cards. I went with a black & white theme & used a splash of red & orange for the candles, balloons, & cake! I thought it would be fun to go a little "outside the box" on this one.

For this fun Autumn layout, I used the wagon, one of the pumpkins, & the girl to make as an accent!
I began by stamping the wagon, first. Then, I used a "mask" & stamped the girl. Lastly, I inked only one of the pumkins & stamped it in the wagon the same way I did the little girl. Using a "mask", allows you to build a scene by making the pumkin & the girl appear as though they are IN the wagon.

KKS August Release Day 3-You're A Hoot

Welcome back to Day THREE of our AUGUST Krafty Peeks
