Kraftin' Kimmie Saturday Challenge #512

I am honored to be a part of the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Design Team as a Guest Designer for the month of January! What a great way to start the month! Throughout the month, there will various challenges in addition to the first release of the year next week! There's some pretty awesome creations headed your way!
Good morning and welcome to our very first Saturday challenge of 2020 at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!
Are you ready for some fun and krafty challenges to inspire you and help get your creative juices flowing? We've got some fabulous ideas for you and can't wait to see what you create!

This week your hostess is Krafty Girl, Keri and her challenge for you is....the colour BLUE!!

Each and every Saturday we post a brand new challenge for the week and you are welcome to enter as many times as you like!

These must be new creations and you are welcome to use any stamp however using Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and products will earn you double entries! There are TWO ways to enter....you can link up your creation at the bottom of this post AND you can upload your photo to the album in our Krafty Friends Facebook group!
We also have a sketch to inspire you for the month of January! Feel free to use it any time you like when you need a little kick start to your creative process!
Happy kraftin'!

My take on this week's Saturday Challenge is two adorable little ATC's. When you get an order from my Artful Angel shop, it should (sometimes I forget, lol) have a little ATC size thank you note in it. For today's challenge, I used the KKS Saturday Challenge theme...the color blue! This little gnome is part of the Whimsical Gnomes set. There are 3 sweet little gnomes, 7 adorable little accent stamps, & 6 fun gnome-themed phrases.

Copic Colors Used:
Skin-E11, E21, E00
Blue-B99, B97, B95, B93
Teal-BG34, BG23, BG11
Beards-N5, N3, N1

Outer Space Card

On May the Fourth, Craftin Desert Divas had a one-day sale that I couldn't resist! It arrived this week!

They have this simply adorable set called Troll Wars & a super fun Outer Space Stencil!

Yesterday, I decided to try my hand at playing with the stencil. I had an idea of what I wanted to do. For Mother's Day, my hubs & daughter got me some of the Distress Oxide inks by Tim Holtz. I am in love with these inks!! So, I gave my idea a shot & it exceeded my expectations!!

I chose a nice piece of black smooth Bazzill cardstock from my scrap stash. I placed the stencil so that I could get as much of the three planets on the scrap. I used Stampin 'Up White Craft Ink for the stars & far off planets. I then used the Distress Oxides Seedless Preserves, Salty Ocean, & Peacock Feathers for the planets & shooting star.

I think it turned out AWESOME!! I'm excited to get this made into a card using Troll Wars! Please head over to my Facebook Group Artful Angel & vote on which Troll Wars character you want to see on this card. While you're there, feel free to join my group AND invite your friends, too! Voting will most likely close tonight as I'd like to make the card tomorrow!! I will post the resulting card here, when it's completed.

Kraftin' Kimmie New Product Launch!!

I am blessed to be apart of Kraftin' Kimmie's new product launch--Krafty Kolours!! I have to say, this is some pretty AWESOME ink! I love that not only is it permanent but it's also perfectly "juicy"! Because of the "juiciness", you get a wonderful fully inked image every time! And, even though it's permanent ink, it's still able to be used to get a watercolor effect!

I hope you enjoy these cards!

To use Krafty Kolours as watercolors, I recommend stamping the ink pad several times on something plastic like an acrylic block. Then, use a paintbrush or watercolor brush to pick up the color & apply it to your project.

On the top card, I used the new stamp set Magical Friends & colored it with my PrismaColor pencils. This is my first time ever creating my own background. I'm pretty pleased with how it came out! On the bottom card, I used the new stamp set Beautiful Blooms. I stamped with Stampin' Up Craft Ink in Elegant Eggplant & embossed with clear Ultra Thick Embossing powder. I then used my watercolor brush pen to pick up the Krafty Kolours ink from my acrylic block to apply it over my embossed image on the card.

We've got some super exciting NEWS to share with you today!
You may have heard that we've been working on something top secret for the last few months and it's FINALLY time that we can share it with everyone!!!

Today we are introducing you to.....
Krafty Kolours Inks by Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps!
We are thrilled to introduce a brand new product to the Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps line…..KRAFTY KOLOURS INKS!

These new inks are a Hybrid ink that combines the best of both dye ink and pigment ink!
- These beauties are acid free, archival and non-fading!
- This ink dries almost instantly on paper and non-porous surfaces and requires a heat set on
glossy surfaces and fabric
- They have a raised felt pad that let you stamp any size stamp!
- They give a crisp, bright, non-bleeding impression!
- They come in full sized pads, mini cubes and ink refills!

With these inks you can ink directly, sponge, stencil, watercolour, you can do all sorts of techniques with them AND most exciting….the Krafty Kolours Inks are safe to use with pencils AND alcohol based markers!!

Today we are having a big Launch Party over on the Krafty Friends Facebook page with the Krafty Girls and Special Krafty Guests sharing information about the new products, sharing tons of new projects, live videos, youtube videos, we're doing giveaways, challenges and lots more!!

You'll be able to purchase all the large ink pads, mini cubes and refills individually OR in sets at a small discount! PLUS there are TWO brand NEW stamp sets that are from the May release and will ONLY be released as part of the special kits!

ALSO I've chosen some amazing coordinating Bazzill Bling cardstocks to match the coloured inks and you'll be able to scoop those up as well!! SO exciting!

So be sure to pop into the group today or hang out with us for all the fun all day long!! Let's get INKY!!!

It's Release Day! What better way to celebrate than with a Blog Hop!?!

Woohoo! It's here! It's here!!

Today we are celebrating the
amazing release of ALL of our
NEW March Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!!

ALL THREE new sets will be available this afternoon
in the Krafty Shop!

So let's have a big happy hop around the design team blogs and check them all out in action! Grab a nice hot beverage, sit back and relax while you hop around and enjoy all the amazing creations!!
First up is
KICK ASSY BIRTHDAY!

....then BIRTHDAY BIANCA....
and lastly....DINO-MITE PALS!
ALL the new sets will be available individually BUT if you HAVE to have it ALL, we also have our March Gimme Kimmies Kit which includes all THREE of the new sets together and at a discount! But only for a limited time and while supplies last!
Happy hoppin' and happy shoppin'!

I went in a little different direction than is typical for birthday cards. I went with a black & white theme & used a splash of red & orange for the candles, balloons, & cake! I thought it would be fun to go a little "outside the box" on this one.

I really hope you've enjoyed this months release! I know that I have really enjoyed being part of the team this month & seeing each members creations!

Enjoy!!
