Make It Monday - Love Couple

Hello!! πŸ™‹‍♀️ I know, I know, it's Tuesday NOT Monday. Oh, well. πŸ˜‚

I thought I'd share this great little card with you this week! It would make a fabulous Valentine's Day card, or just a fun little Note card, or even a Missing You card!

I used The Greeting Farm Love Couple & Doodlebug's Love Notes 6x6 Paper Pad from last year. Made With Love, this year's Valentine's themed pad, would work, too. I didn't have that pad in my hands, yet, when I made this one. The card base is an A2 card base from PhotoPlay Paper

I cut the yellow dot paper to 5.5x4.25. I cut a piece of the love letters paper to 3.5x3.5. I stamped Anya & Ian masking Anya so that Ian appears to be standing a little closer & slightly behind her. Anya likes big hair so it's hard to get them standing too close together. She must be a Texas Girl! πŸ˜† After I got them colored up, I trimmed it down to 3x4.25. I used a Copic Multiliner .03 to add some line detail around the inside of the stamped image. I'm still working on perfecting hair. For some reason, hair is tough for me. I just keep practicing. I added some of the Neon Pink Enamel Dots from Kraftin' Kimmie Neon Rainbow Dots for a little pop of bright pink!

For the inside, I stamped the phrase & matted it on the heart paper.

Make It Monday-Sips & Stories

Happy Monday! Can you believe we are already into the 3rd week of January?!?

Today I thought I'd share this cute little card that I made using the Newton's Nook Sips & Stories set. This set is great for readers, coffee lovers, tea lovers, & hot drink lovers of all kinds! This great set has 3 fun main images that focus on reading & a hot drink. It also includes 5 supporting images & 4 fun phrases.

And, it goes perfectly with the Coffee & Friends 6x6 pad from Echo Park! This pad has so many great patterns in it. It's got gorgeous soft hues of salmon pink & sage green. The accent colors are a medium brown, gray, & black.

For my card base, I used a #6 Card Base from PhotoPlay Paper. I used the girl sitting in the big armchair. I colored her up & then cut a circle around her. I used the black buffalo plaid & cut a circle just a bit larger for a mat & cut a rectangle at 3 1/4 x 2 1/4. I cut the salmon tone-on-tone coffee words to 5 3/4 x 3. I cut the coffee icons at 2 1/2 x 3 1/4. I picked out the phrase from the paper pad that I thought fit the card the best & matted it on the buffalo plaid rectangle. I stamped the phrase, "I'm so glad that you're part of my story!" & added the polka dot cup & steam to accent it.

Make It Monday-Yeti Or Not

North Texas got snow yesterday!! It was so fun! It didn't accumulate & it didn't stick, which really is the perfect way to get snow. It was beautiful flakes! A lot of times when we get snow, it's just little snow pellets which I don't qualify as snow. Lol.

Anyway, I have the perfect card to share with you today! I used the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Yeti Or Not along with Doodlebug's Winter Wonderland Odds & Ends as well as the 6x6 pad. I love slimline cards & am fairly new to making them. For the card base, I used the PhotoPlay #9 Slimline Card Base. It worked perfect for this card!

I stamped the Snowball Yeti & masked him to stamp the mountains. I colored him up matching the colors of the papers as closely as I could. I used the My Favorite Things Polaroid Shaker Frame die cut to cut out the blue snow Polaroid & the Yeti. I positioned the Yeti in the Polaroid frame in a playful manner. I stamped the phrase & backed it on the same paper as the Polaroid frame. I added the pink snowflake background cut into 2 pieces because it's 6x6. I covered the seam with the adorable Yeti paper & the matted phrase.

When I was looking through the Winter Wonderland Odds & Ends, I found these cute little sky gondola's. I thought they would be fun to add to the inside! I drew in a "cable" & glued them in place. I added the colorful snowflakes for a little touch of pizazz.

Make It Monday-Warm Wishes

Happy New Year!! Are you as glad that we are out of 2020 as I am?? I'm hoping that 2021 has some better things in store. Mind you, I'm not naΓ―ve here. I know that things won't change overnight but I sure hope they get better.

One of my goals for this year is to share more of my own personal work with you. So, starting today (I know, it's almost tomorrow lol) I give you Make It Monday!! Each Monday I will share a project that I made using supplies from the shop. I hope that this is something will help to inspire you to create great new projects & use the treasures you've purchased from Artful Angel.

I'm going to start off by sharing a cute little A2 card that I made using The Greeting Farm's Warm Wishes. It was released in October of 2020. I love the Miss Anya stamps & I love Warm Wishes because not only is it Anya, her beau, Ian, is accompanying her! But, believe it or not, I didn't even USE Anya or Ian on this card! For this sweet & simple card, I just used the sweet little bear from the set. I stamped the little bear & the sentiment in Kraftin' Kimmie Krafty Kolours Granite Gray. After I stamped & colored up the image, I tore the edges to give it some texture. I inked the edges with another Kraftin' Kimmie Krafty Kolour called Bubble Blue. I layered the image on the black background snowflake from Echo Park's Winter Magic 6x6 Pad. I felt that the subtle black background really made the image pop. To finish off the card, I used 3 enamel dots from Kraftin' Kimmie. This is the Dazzling Dots.
