For my last post as a KKS January Guest DT member, I thought I would make this fun image from You Complete Me into a nice birthday card from brother to brother. I just kept it simple yet bright. Unfortunately, I colored this image a while back & didn't record the colors I used. :(

I used the first Krafty Scenery stencil to make the sun & the clouds in the background. For the inside, I kept it fun & simple. You know guys, most don't do "fancy". :D

I choose to use Krafty Love for my fun craft-themed birthday card! I love this little lady & thought it would be fun to use for a birthday card for my crafty birthday twin! I stamped it on the always sparkly Sweet Sentiment cardstock! I accented the corner with the Kraftin' Kimmie Polar Dots.

You may notice that she has a little sheet of polka dot paper in her hands! I inked that small portion of the image on a scrap of polka dot cardstock & fussy cut it out! I think it worked out perfectly!!

The sentiment was created in Silhouette. I typed out my phrase, changed the font to a sketch font, & used PixScan to position the text where I wanted it. After positioning it appropriately, I ran through my Silhouette & let it write it all out for me! There was a little bit of drag on the pen but what do ya' do? Oh, well.

For the inside, I used the Silhouette, again. I choose a cute cursive font & a fun block font! The black is just plain ink. The teal is actually a sparkly teal to compliment the sparkly paper of the Sweet Sentiment cardstock I used on the front! I added the fun gift accent sketch at the bottom with my Silhouette, too.

Krafin' Kimmie January Release Blog Hop

WOOHOO!

Today we are celebrating all the new goodies that are NOW available from our JANUARY Release from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

My project for today's hop is this sweet little bookmark I made with Love Bugs. I used the large sunflower and snuggling snails. I colored each image up and then fussy cut them out, individually. I cut the bookmark out of white cardstock. I used a fun single scrap of paper from the new Doodlebug Love Notes 6x6 paper pad. I cut the scrap apart. I used the floral side for the "ground" and the cloud side for the "sky". I glued the sunflower down, first, and then added the snails. I added detail lines in black on the white cardstock using a Copic Mulitliner. I used a white Gelly Roll to detail on the "sky" and the "ground". I added a .5x.5 square of another scrap from the Love Notes pad, used my Crop-a-dile to punch a hole, and add an eyelet. I tied some strings to make the tail of the bookmark and added a couple of Heart Dots to accent the corners.

Krafin' Kimmie January Release Day 3-Happy Hedgehogs

It's Day THREE day of January Krafty Peeks at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!

It's our FINAL day of peeks of our first release of 2020 and everything you've seen us share this week will be in the online shop this afternoon!

If you've ever ordered from Artful Angel, you know that I like to include a little note in each package (well, sometimes I forget-lol). Anyway, I like to hand color & hand make each of those notes. I thought the little hedgehog couple would be perfect one of those notes.
This one was pretty simple & fun to make. I started by stamping the hedgehogs on the 2.25x3.25 Neenah 110 cardstock. After stamping & coloring them, I stamped them on a post-it note to make a mask. I applied the masks to the little cuties. I pulled out my Trippy Triangles stencil & used Purple Pansy ink. To top it off, I added a Heart Dot. I also added some dots with a white gel pen to accent the hedgehogs. I backed the card with some papers from the new Doodlebug Love Notes 6x6 Paper Pad.

I added this fun little "love you" paper from the same Doodlebug Love Notes pad & stamped one of the other hedgehogs in Crisp Crimson in the corner.

Krafin' Kimmie January Release Day 2-Your're Gnaw-some

I've got some Valentine-y fun for you today with this "gnaw-some" little set called You're Gnaw-some (which will be in the Artful Angel shop on Saturday)! I went a little outside of my box on this one! I've not done a shaker card before and I've had this segmented frame die by My Favorite Things for some time. I thought this card was perfect for giving that a shot! I think it turned out great!

I started by coloring the sweet little beavers and fussy cutting them out. I die cut the frame out of a cute small heart pattern from Doodlebugs Love Notes 6x6 pad. I took a 4.25x5.5 piece of Sweet Sentiment cardstock, lightly traced the outline of the frame on it, and stamped the phrase, "I think you're gnaw-some" in the center top square. Then, I stamped the envelope, flower, and heart accent stamps randomly over the rest of the card using Crisp Crimson. I stamped twice to have varying colors. For the envelope, I stamped the beaver with the balloon in the lower left corner. I only used single colors for the balloon & beaver because the paper is thin & wouldn't stand up to layering. After masking off the beaver and balloon, I used Trippy Triangles with Crisp Crimson ink to add a fun touch to the front of the envelope.

For the inside of the card, I cut a piece of pink cardstock to 4x5.25. I positioned the piece on my Tim Holtz stamping platform and placed the stamps where I wanted them. For the phrase, after I got it on the platform, I curved it to give it a different spin. Stamped both the phrase and the image with Crisp Crimson and used Trippy Triangles with Crisp Crimson to accent the corners.

After cutting the frame, I trimmed a piece of acetate to fit inside the frame. I glued the acetate to the back of the frame. I used 3D tape cut into strips and adhered those to the back of the frame. I used Pink & White Angel Dust to fill the pockets of the frame by positioning a small pile of sequins in the center of each pocket. I then removed the paper from the 3D tape & laid the frame down into place. After assembling the shaker portion, I added it to the card front to complete the card.

Krafin' Kimmie January Release Day 1-Love Bugs

Hello and welcome to all our Krafty Friends!

We are ready to kick off a brand new year with our January Release at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

The brand new products for January are all about LOVE! So let's get started because we're so excited to share everything with you!

I used the lady bug couple & the biggest sunflower from Love Bugs (the set will be in the Artful Angel shop on Saturday) for this sweet little 4x4 note card. I used my Stamping Platform from Tim Holtz to position the lady bugs were I wanted them. I stamped them with KKS Krafty Kolours Wicked Black onto a 4.25x5.5 piece of Sweet Sentiment cardstock (more about this fun cardstock a little later in the post). After stamping the lady bugs, I made a mask by stamping the lady bugs onto a post-it note as much on the sticky part as possible. I cut out the ladybugs on the stamped line. I positioned them directly on top of the stamped image. Once the mask was positioned properly, I used my Stamping Platform with Wicked Black ink to stamp the large sunflower.

After stamping both images to make one complete image, I colored both images (colors listed below). After completing my coloring, I made a mask for the large sunflower, also. I reapplied both masks & used my stencil Radiating Rays by My Favorite Things to create the rays. For the ink, I used KKS Kafty Kolours Crisp Crimson & Pumpkin Patch to create the rays. When all the rays were as I wanted, I removed the stencil & the masks. I trimmed it down to 3.75x3.75 and accented it with a red Heart Dot. I used the tone-on-tone heart paper from the new Love Notes 6x6 pad from Doodlebug as my background. I cut that square to 4x4. To finish off the card, I glued my freshly made card front to the front of a 4x4 card made from some old Bazzill red orange peel texture card stock.

The Sweet Sentiment cardstock that I used for stamping my image is different than anything on the market. It is high-quality stamping cardstock. It works wonderfully with Copics. The thing that makes this cardstock unique from others on the market is that it contains a sparkle that is imbedded into the cardstock to make stamped images sparkle! In the photo above, you can see the sparkles even after the image has been colored!

For the inside, I used the sweet phrase "sending sunny wishes" & the two heart grouping stamps & my Stamping Platform on orange cardstock.

My creation for the Skrappy Challenge is a holder for my 6x6 paper pads! I've recently begun to amass quite the collection of 6x6 pads. So, to help me organize them, I've cut this holder using a Lori Whitlock file from the Silhouette store. It was super simple to cut & assemble & will work perfectly for keep them all in one place! My desk is still a disaster following the craziness of getting ready for the holidays so I can't put it in my craft room just yet. Lol.

For the embellishments, I colored up Let's Get Krafty! I love this image! It's so fun & is so versitle. For the phrase, I used a stamp from Oh, Crop!, an older but awesome set!
